In 1996 Donnie Saxon and Tom Clark opened their first store in College Park, a downtown Orlando neighborhood. The store was known for its' personable service, exceptional brands offered at fair prices and the white glove delivery service offered by Donnie Saxon and Tom Clark.
The store grew rapidly and just two short years later they went on to open their second showroom at the Oak Grove Shoppes in Altamonte Springs, just ten minutes north of Orlando. After several years of growth, in 2001, the opportunity to open a third location on Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando presented itself. The economy and the clientele had demanded more square footage and product.
In 2008, just prior to the housing bubble bursting, in preparation for the downturn, Donnie Saxon decided to consolidate all showroom space into the Altamonte Springs location. That decision would save the company and ensure Saxon-Clark's ability not only to serve its customers but support its vendors. In June of 2020 the Altamonte store had to close due to the plaza scheduled to be razed and rebuilt the following year.
At the request of numerous customers and designers, Saxon-Clark Furniture, Patio and Design made their triumphant return to College Park. The decision to open the 3,000 square foot store marks a return to the location (College Park) where it all began 22 years ago. This location features over 75 brands of furniture, accessories, decor and lighting. Plus custom cabinetry and remodeling services.
Today Saxon-Clark Furniture & Design has a customer base that extends all over the United States and abroad and boasts an award-winning design team. They donate to and are involved in numerous charitable organizations including: The Mennello Museum of American Art, New Hope for Kids, Pink Bash (benefiting breast cancer) and are the presenting sponsor for Kids Beating Cancer's Hats & Heroes Ball 2018.
